This is the Sunday ijexá and it is only open to men (it's not necessary to be a member to participate); women are welcome on this lower floor but don't dance.  Samba parties are also held in this area, and they are of course open to everybody!

While this is going on there is a more typical party-like atmospere on the food & drink floor.
