Bahia's Linha Verde
(Costa de Milagres / Coast of Miracles)

Linha Verde is literally "Green Line", a highway in excellent condition running along the seacoast north from Salvador up to Bahia's northernmost litoral community Mangue Seco.  Access roads -- some paved, many not -- run from the main road off to the coast itself and to the small communities dotted along it, more often than not simple fishing villages.
