Pousada Natureza is what got Morro de São Paulo started on its present course as a happening place to go. And ironically, this was all started by a young nature-loving German by the name of Horst, who opened Morro's first pousada (Natureza, of course!) twenty-two years ago.

In the intevening time both Morro and Horst's pousada have grown considerably (while ponytailed adventurer Horst himself has kept his athletic form!)

Horst is a very personable guy who is happy to sit and talk to his guests (in fluent English, as well as German or Portuguese), explaining where to go and what to do on the island. His pousada sits up high with breathtaking views across the water, and the village is a two-minute walk away (down and around the corner to the left). The beaches are another couple of minutes ahead.

Pousada Natureza is a paradisical place where the service is friendly, multilingual, and excellent. It is highly, highly recommended!
